1.Who We Are

Evaluate! ("Evaluate!", "we", "us", or "our") is a peer-evaluation platform for basketball officials, operated by The Officials Hub. This policy applies to the Evaluate! mobile app and the website at evaluateme.app.

2.Information We Collect

Information you provide

• Account details — your name, username, email address, and optionally your city, state, profile photo, and the training organizations you select.
• Sign-in information — when you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive basic profile details (such as your name and email) from that provider. We never receive your Google or Apple password.
• Evaluation content — the evaluations, ratings, rubric scores, game notes, call data, comments, and any photos you submit about officiating performances.

Information collected automatically

• Usage and device data — basic technical information such as app version, device type, and diagnostic or crash data used to keep the app working.

3.How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account and authenticate you.
• To provide the core service: letting you submit evaluations and view the ones shared with you.
• To calculate official and public ratings from submitted evaluations.
• To respond to support requests and communicate with you about the service.
• To monitor for abuse, enforce our Terms of Service, and keep the platform safe.
• To improve the app and fix problems.
• To comply with legal obligations.

4.How Evaluations Are Shared

Evaluate! is a platform for sharing peer evaluations. Evaluations you submit about another official, and evaluations others submit about you, are visible within the platform according to the app's visibility settings and rating tiers. Aggregated ratings derived from evaluations may be shown to other users.

5.How We Share Information With Others

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described here:

• Service providers — we use trusted third parties to run the app, including Google Firebase (authentication) and DigitalOcean (hosting and file storage). They process data on our behalf under their own terms.
• Legal and safety — we may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Evaluate!, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers — if Evaluate! is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

6.Data Retention & Account Deletion

You can request deletion of your account at any time from within the app (Profile → Delete account).

• When you request deletion, your account is immediately locked and you can no longer sign in.
• For 30 days, the request can be reversed by contacting support, in case you change your mind.
• After the 30-day grace period, your personal information — name, email, username, phone, and profile photo — is permanently removed.
• Evaluations are part of other officials' rating history. After deletion, any evaluation records that remain are de-identified so they are no longer linked to you personally.

7.Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and to respond promptly to any issues.

8.Your Rights & Choices

You can review and update most of your account information directly in the app, and you can delete your account as described above. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights:

• California residents (CCPA/CPRA) — you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request access or deletion, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell your personal information.
• EU/UK residents (GDPR) — you have rights to access, correct, delete, and port your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing.

9.Children's Privacy

Evaluate! is intended for officials, evaluators, coaches, and others involved in basketball officiating, and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

10.Where Your Data Is Processed

Evaluate! is operated from the United States, and your information is processed and stored there. If you use the app from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S.

11.Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and significant changes may also be communicated in the app. Your continued use of Evaluate! after an update means you accept the revised policy.
